What is the Online Return Process?

Booksamillion.com offers a return window of 30 days, starting the date your order was delivered.

Use one of the following methods for your online order:

Return to a Store

  1. Login to My Account
  2. Click "Details" next to the order you would like to return.
  3. Click "Return to Store"
  4. Print your Booksamillion.com In Store Return Receipt
  5. If the Return to Store button is not available to click, then your purchase is either outside the return window or the item not eligible to be returned.
  6. The In Store Receipt will show a Last Return Date and will note if a *product is Non-Returnable.
  7. Return your purchase, along with the Printed Return Receipt, to your local Books-A-Million store.

 *If you checked out as a Guest please Click Here to set up an online account using the same email address used to place the order. Then follow the above steps. 

Return via Mail

  1. Email our Customer Service department at support@booksamillion.com and request Return Authorization.
  2. Your email Subject should be: Return Authorization Needed 
  3. The email should include: your order ID number, the reason for the return, and the item(s) you are returning.
  4. A Customer Service Representative will respond with a return label you may use to ship the order back to Books-A-Million.

Once you have received your Return Authorization:

  1. Pack the item(s) that you are returning to us securely. You may use the same package if it is not damaged.
  2. Enclose a copy of your packing slip.
  3. Affix the label that we emailed to you and ship the package.
  4. Be sure to apply adequate postage.
  5. We are not responsible for the item until it arrives at our facility, please save your tracking information so you can follow up with the vendor you shipped with.

Once your order has arrived back to our warehouse your refund will be issued to the credit card used. If you paid by using a gift card to make your purchase, a credit will be issued back to the gift card. We do not issue refund checks. Please note that shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Exclusions:

  • Does not apply to items purchased from the New & Used Marketplace
  • Does not apply to eBooks or Audio Downloads, once purchased and/or downloaded. Please verify device compatibility prior to purchase.
  • We cannot accept returns of product marked "non-returnable".
  • We cannot accept returns for variants, and variants or bulk purchases made online cannot be returned to a local store.
