If your order or any item from your order was canceled before shipping, you were not charged, and no refund is due. At the time that your order was placed, a temporary authorization verifying and holding available funds is provided by your financial institution.
Although authorizations are not actual charges or debits, they can reduce the available balance in your account, typically up to 5 business days, the exact policies and time frames are dependent on your individual bank or credit card issuer).
You are not actually charged for your order until the product has been shipped to you. In the case of orders requiring multiple shipments, you will be charged for only the product included in each package as it is shipped to you. (In this circumstance, your bank statement will reflect multiple charges from Books-A-Million, each of which is smaller than your order total calculated at the time of checkout.)
If your order has been canceled before shipping, please allow up to 5 business days for this temporary authorization to be removed from your account by your financial institution. If a temporary authorization is still present on your account after this timeframe and your product have shipped or canceled, you will need to contact your financial institution.
