When will my Debit Card, Credit Card, or PayPal be charged?

Booksamillion.com will charge when the order ships.

At the time that your order is placed a temporary authorization verifying and holding available funds is provided by your financial institution. Although authorizations are not actual charges or debits, they can reduce the available balance in your account, typically for 5-7 business days, (the exact policies and time frames are dependent on your individual bank or credit card issuer).

You are not actually charged for your order until the product has been shipped to you or picked up for a Buy online, pick up in-store order. In the case of orders which require multiple shipments, you will be charged for only the product that is included in each individual package, as it is shipped to you. (In this circumstance your banking statement will reflect multiple charges from Books-A-Million, each of which is smaller than your order total is calculated at the time of checkout.)

*If this pre-authorization fails when you attempt to submit your order, you will get a billing error message that will prompt you to recheck your billing and credit card number information or enter an alternate credit card before you can actually submit the order.
